Course Objectives

To learn basic computer knowledge and skills.

Prerequisites

This course is intended for students who don't have much experience of computers.




Introduction to Windows 10

Course Objectives

To perform basic tasks on a PC running the Windows 10 Operating System.

  • Access Windows 10.
  • Use Windows Apps and Desktop Applications.
  • Work with files and folders.
  • Access the Internet with Microsoft Edge.
  • Customize the Windows 10 environment.
  • Install and remove printers and peripheral devices.
  • Use Windows 10 security features.


Prerequisites

This course is intended for computer users who want to use the basic tools and features of Windows 10. Previous exposure to personal computers, desktop applications and the Internet is needed.




Excel 2016 Introduction

Course Objectives

To learn the basics of creating spreadsheets in Excel. Enter data, formulas, format and print workbooks.


Prerequisites

This course is intended for students who want to learn basic Excel 2016 skills. Basic Windows, keyboarding and mouse skills is needed.




Outlook 2016 Introduction

Course Objectives

To use Outlook to manage your email communications, including composing, reading, and responding to emails; schedule appointments and meetings; manage contact information; schedule tasks and create notes; customize message response options, and organize your mail.


Prerequisites

To ensure your success in this course you should have end-user skills with any current version of Windows, including being able to start and close applications, navigate basic file structures, and manage files and folders is recommended.





Word 2016 Introduction

Course Objectives

To learn basic Word 2016 skills.

  • Perform common tasks in Word.
  • Format text and paragraphs.
  • Using tools such as Find and Replace, etc.
  • Insert graphic objects into a document.
  • Create and format tables.
  • Format the overall appearance of a page.
  • Use basic Word features.


Prerequisites

This course is intended for students who want to learn basic Word 2016 skills. Previous exposure to personal computers, desktop applications and the Internet is needed.




PowerPoint 2016 Introduction

Course Objectives

Upon completing this course, you will be able to create and deliver engaging multimedia presentations that convey the key points of your message through the use of text, graphics, and animations.

  • Identify the basic features of PowerPoint.
  • Develop a PowerPoint presentation.
  • Perform advanced text editing operations.
  • Add graphical elements to your presentation.
  • Modify objects in your presentation.
  • Add tables to your presentation.
  • Add charts to your presentation.
  • Prepare to deliver your presentation.


Prerequisites

Students should be comfortable in the Windows environment, and be able to use Windows to manage information on their computers.
